I have been involved with polymory for many years at times its hard finding others who wish to accept this. I already am involved in an open relationship I love her but she does not love me. I would like to find another woman to love in my own special way and hopefully she will also share love with other women I bring into our relationship. Polymory is not a curse its a way to express your heart it just means you are more open to love. I mean one woman might be great passionately...while another woman might be a great companion. I have had years experience with the lifestyle unfortunately people try to shun you cause of it. I have always been using to living with two loves most of the time or dating two women at the same time the problem is I think that I need to find a bisexual girl who would like to share these relationships with me something meaningful. Anyways if you would like to get to know me I just came back to Las Vegas would like to meet others who share similar beliefs. www.myspace.com/angelofthynight

I just recently relocated myself here to Vegas about 4 months ago and figured that this would be a good a place as any to start making some new friends. My last 3 relationships were monogamous ones and they didn't work out so well, the one before that was loosely poly in nature and worked out the best so I figured I would give that another try. Problem is I still don't think I know as much about all of this as I would like too. hence my reasons for joining this tribe in the hopes of getting some incite into things. I would like to attend one of the 101 workshops I have seen posted throughout this tribe and was wondering about when the next one would be. well that's it i guess. if anyone has any ?'s they want to ask me then shoot. I am kinda shy but I am also honest and will answer most ?'s lol.

What about a daytime thing on Saturdays? During the winter we can be inside, we could do bbq or picnics when it gets warm, and hang out by someone's pool in the summer! :)

From experience, I can say that the way to make this work is to set the day (like 1'st Saturday of the month, etc,) set the time, and set the location for however many months we would be meeting there. Everyone should probably bring some munchies to share and their own drinks.

We would need to make this as autonomous as possible, because the time and effort that goes into planning stuff like this gets old fast, and people give up. What do you guys think?

How do you folks structure your relationships so that no one feels neglected or left out?... How do you decide when you need to close yourself off to relationships in order to strengthen others?... What makes the lifestyle work for you? How do you keep everyone feeling the level of connection and import that make the lifestyle worth while?...

Are you new to polyamory?
Are you wondering about it and thinking about bringing it up to your partner?
Have you tried things that didn’t work, and need advice?
Do you have a history of serial monogamy or cheating and want to learn about healthy non-monogamy?
Do you have confused and curious family or friends?

Come join us for a free-flowing workshop about polyamory—theories and practices, logistics and time management, communication and listening skills. Pick up a reading list and a media list. Ask all the questions you think are silly or irrelevant. Hear about success stories and train wrecks from people who have been there. Talk to people of all orientations and lovestyles about how they live their relationships.

This workshop is a safe place to bring open-minded family and friends who are aware of your lovestyle and have questions.

There will be a small panel of people who are experienced in polyamory to help work through your questions. The panel represents several types of lovestyles, relationship configurations, and orientations. Bring your freaky self—you won’t freak us out! No question is too weird, no hypothetical situation is too out there to bring to the table.

DATE: January 17, 2007
TIME: 7PM
LOCATION: Las Vegas, Nevada
Light refreshments will be served.

RSVP to ember_kitty@yahoo.com for directions to the workshop and for more information.

Sure we banter endlesly about diffrent structures ,communication, jealousy, the diffrent shades of bi-sexuality, ect. but what do you do to minamize the risk to you and your lovers, how do you handle it when a creepy crawley finds its way into your blissfull poly group? Do you know the symptioms and treatments(where to get it and what it is) for mic. STD's. What is the best way to communicate with people, both about prevention and infection when it happens? And is the nature of poly life and STD's that diffrent than other methods of conducting relationships?
Unfortunatly with the extended freedom that both poly and open relationships provides, comes increased risk, and increased *gasp* responsability to protect ourselves and our lovers. I guess the topic question of this post what do you do to minimize the risk of STD's in your poly relationships?
